Architecture and Landscape

Architecture as part of the landscape is a fascinating and challenging subject for the photographer. My first experience of this aspect of photography came with a request to capture the grounds of Canford School near Wimborne. The light and its effects on the architecture and the natural surroundings throughout the seasons was a satisfying subject for my camera and one which I intend to expand.

The ruins of Witley Court in Worcestershire were an excellent subject for me during the summer of 2007.

I was intrigued by the colours in the stonework at Witley Court and the architectural details which have been so well preserved by English Heritage after the building lay in ruined decay following a fire in 1937.
