Venice and Burano
Venice and the islands of the Venetian lagoon are among the most-photographed of locations and this Gallery contains some of my favourite images of Burano, to my mind, the most colourful and photogenic of all the islands in the lagoon.
During my visit I endeavoured to capture the living spirit of Burano as a community. The colourful houses, windows, doorways and the general architecture, together with the canalside activity and of course the ever-present washing lines.
All photographs taken with a 35mm Leica Minilux Zoom camera with 35-70 Vario Elmarit lens and Fuji Velvia 50 film.
I also could not resist including just a few images of Venice, doubtless there will be more sometime in the future as I intend to return again very shortly.
