This year (2026) sees the 100th year since the death of the master of impressionism Claude Monet. There will be many events marking this occasion throughout the world and of course no more than in Normandy which was Monet's home celebrated by his beloved garden at Giverny and the seine side village of Vetheuil,
I cannot explain enough how much I enjoyed following in the footsteps of Claude Monet, photographing the landscapes which Monet painted, unfortunately I doubt I will ever see Giverny and its surrounding landscapes again as I am now approaching 81 but I do have cherished memories of the many trips I made.
